Why Join the Highland Neighborhood Association?

By becoming a member, you’re joining a dynamic group of neighbors who are passionate about making a difference. Here's what the association offers:

  • Quarterly Neighborhood Meetings: These gatherings provide updates on community projects, opportunities for engagement, and a platform for your voice to be heard.

  • Quarterly Newsletters: Stay in the loop with important updates, upcoming events, and neighborhood highlights delivered right to your inbox or mailbox.

  • Second Saturday Cleanups: Grab your gloves and join us every second Saturday to tackle trash and keep our streets and parks pristine. It's a rewarding way to beautify Highland while connecting with neighbors.

  • Advocacy for Highland: We actively advocate for our community’s interests, ensuring Highland remains a safe, inclusive, and vibrant place for everyone. Whether it’s addressing zoning issues, protecting green spaces, or supporting local initiatives, we fight for Highland and all our neighbors.

Where Do Your Dues Go?

Your annual membership dues help fund a wide array of impactful projects and initiatives, including:

  • Beautification Projects: From landscaping and tree planting to maintaining parks and green spaces, your support keeps Highland looking its best.

  • Community Donations: Supporting local organizations and causes that enhance the quality of life in Highland.

  • Community-Led Project Grants: Residents can team up to apply for grants of up to $1,000 for local initiatives. Recent projects include cleaning up vacant lots and planting wildflower gardens.

  • Senior and Accessibility Grants: Grants of up to $500 for exterior home improvements, like building wheelchair ramps, repairing porches, and clearing overgrown brush. These are available to seniors and residents with mobility challenges.
